Persatuan Bahasa Cina

Perayaan Musim Bunga atau Tahun Baru Lunar adalah
satu perayaan utama masyarakat Cina di Malaysia dan
di seluruh dunia.

Sempena perayaan Tahun Baru Cina, Persatuan

Bahasa Cina memperkenalkan 2 jenis tumbuh-
tumbuhan yang istimewa dalam tradisi kebudayaan
Cina iaitu Bunga
Plum dan Bambu.

Bamboo's long life makes it a Chinese symbol of longevity.

It is an example of the harmony between nature and human being.

Chinese ancients designated the plum, orchid, bamboo and chrysanthemum as "four gentlemen," and pine, bamboo and plum as the "three friends in winter."

People think its deep root denotes resoluteness, its tall, straight stem represents honorability, its hollow interior modesty and its clean and spartan exterior exemplifies chastity.

Ancient Chinese literati held bamboo in profound esteem. This explains why there are so many writings and paintings dedicated to it throughout history.

The plum plant is known by a number of different names , including Japanese apricot, Japanese plum and Chinese plum.

One of the most beloved flowers in China, the plum blossoms have been frequently depicted in Chinese art and poetry for centuries.

The Chinese sees its blossoms as both as a symbol of winter as well as a harbinger of spring. It is precisely for this reason that the blossoms are so beloved, as they bloom most vibrantly amidst the winter snow, after most other plants have shed their leaves, and before other flowers appear.

The Chinese plums are seen as an example of resilience and perseverance in the face of adversity.
